If-clauses with English idioms

In these sentences I have used common every day "idioms". I thought it would be nice for you to learn a few, whilst you're learning the "if-clauses".

Here are the translations of the idioms used in this exercise.

..to be under someone's feet ==> ...jemandem im Wege stehen. (children).. jemandem vor den Füßen herumlaufen.

..to follow in someone's footsteps ==> ...in jemandes Fußstapfen treten

..to get / have cold feet about doing something ==> ...Muffe kriegen / haben, etwas zu tun.

..there and then ==> ...etwas auf der Stelle tun.

..step by step ==> ..Schritt für Schritt.

..to get a move on ==> ..sich beeilen.

..to look all over the place ==> ..überall nachschauen.

..to keep track of someone / something ==>.. jemanden / etwas im Auge behalten.

..to be thrilled to bits ==> ..sich freuen wie ein Kind.

..to make someone's day ==> ..jemanden glücklich machen.

..to give someone a piece of your mind ==> ..jemandem gehörig oder ordentlich die Meinung sagen.

..as nutty as a fruitcake ==> ..total verrückt.
